WHAT OFSTED THINK ...

Staff introduce children to a range of exciting sports. Children energetically join in with football, tennis, rounders and gymnastics. Staff teach children a range of different skills that develop balance and co-ordination. Children are supported to gain new skills and explore how their bodies move. - Ofsted December 2024

WHAT OUR HEADTEACHERS THINK...

We have been working with JC sports for nearly 2 years and have been impressed with the quality of the physical education PPA cover. The JC Sports coaches have always been high quality coaches with good behaviour management strategies. All the coaches have been good role models and formed very good relationships with the children. As a primary school, it was important that all coaches could work well with children from age 4-11. This has never been a problem. The coaches differentiate their approach to suit the needs for the children very well.

Since JC Sports have been leading our wrap-around care, I have been pleased with the improved offer we can give our children/parents. JC Sports offer our parents an easy way to book sessions and a flexible, common-sense approach to changing dates if parents need this. There is always plenty of foods for the children and hot options are always popular. I feel the staff have all got to know the children and provide a very good level of care. We have always worked closely with their wrap-around staff and JC Sports have been flexible around the school's needs to use the hall occasionally. Our numbers at wrap-around change a lot throughout the week but JC Sports always ensure their is a suitable ratio of staff: children.]

We have built a very good relationship with JC Sports over the last 2 years and have been able to work on a number of developments together for example: their coaches have taken lunchtime clubs, supported on sports day, prepared children for district sports and attend parents' evening. Having a close relationship where the JC Staff feel that they are part of our school and not just and addition has been important to me; I hope they feel this too. Working with JC Sports as a PPA and wrap-around care provider was quite a big decision to make. Nearly two years later, I am pleased to say that the decision was a wise one. I would recommend the company to others.

WHAT OFSTED THINK ...

Staff have a good understanding of how to meet children's individual needs. For example, when children have special educational needs and/or disabilities, staff

put specific support plans in place. They work in partnership with parents and other professionals to collaborate effectively. Furthermore, staff are prompt to adapt activities to suit each child's ability. Children benefit from a well-planned,

shared approach to their care.
